Archiving Policy

Bioscird Journal Club Reviews and Reports (BJCRR)

The Bioscird Journal Club Reviews and Reports (BJCRR) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. The journal adopts appropriate digital preservation and archiving practices to ensure that published research remains permanently accessible to the global academic community.

1. Digital Preservation Systems

BJCRR supports recognized digital archiving and preservation initiatives to protect published content against accidental loss and ensure continued accessibility.

LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): A distributed preservation system that stores multiple copies of journal content across participating libraries and archival systems.
CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS): A community-governed preservation archive designed to ensure permanent access to scholarly content in the event of journal discontinuation.

2. Institutional Repository Deposit

Authors are encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional, departmental, or subject-based repositories. This practice supports broader dissemination, increased visibility, and long-term preservation of scholarly work in accordance with the journal’s open-access policy.

3. Author Self-Archiving

BJCRR permits authors to archive and share the final published version of their articles on:

Personal websites
Institutional repositories
Academic and research networking platforms
Non-commercial scholarly archives

Appropriate citation of the original publication and a link to the journal website should be included when sharing published content.

4. Indexing, Storage, and Backups

All published articles are securely stored within the journal’s official database infrastructure and are subject to routine system backups and preservation procedures. These measures are implemented to ensure data protection, system reliability, and uninterrupted access to published materials.

5. Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), providing a permanent and stable link for citation, indexing, retrieval, and long-term accessibility of scholarly content.

6. Commitment to Long-Term Access

Through the integration of digital preservation systems, repository support, secure storage practices, and persistent identifiers, BJCRR remains committed to ensuring that all published research remains accessible, discoverable, and citable for present and future researchers.
