Author Guidelines

Bioscird Journal Club Reviews and Reports (BJCRR)

The Bioscird Journal Club Reviews and Reports (BJCRR) welcomes the submission of original, high-quality, and unpublished manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system (OJS). All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to evaluate their relevance, originality, academic quality, and compliance with the journal’s policies. Suitable submissions are then processed through a rigorous double-blind peer review procedure conducted by qualified reviewers.

Authors are advised to carefully read and follow the guidelines below before submitting their manuscripts.

1. Submission Requirements

Submitted manuscripts must be original and must not have been published or submitted elsewhere.
All authors listed in the manuscript should have made significant academic contributions to the work.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors approve the final manuscript.
Authors must obtain permission for any copyrighted material used in the manuscript.
Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must include appropriate ethical approval.

2. Manuscript Preparation

Authors are strongly encouraged to prepare manuscripts according to the journal’s official formatting requirements to ensure consistency and professional presentation.

Manuscripts should normally contain the following sections:

Title of the Manuscript
Abstract
Keywords
Introduction
Literature Review (where applicable)
Methodology
Results and Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgments (optional)
Conflict of Interest Statement
References

3. File Format and Figures

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
Figures and images should be clear and of high resolution (minimum 300 DPI).
Tables, charts, and graphs should be editable whenever possible.
Supplementary files such as datasets or appendices may be uploaded separately.

4. Language and Writing Quality

Manuscripts should be written in clear, professional, and grammatically correct English. Authors are encouraged to carefully proofread their work before submission. Submissions with poor language quality may be returned for revision before peer review.

5. Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.
The overall similarity index should not exceed 19%.
Manuscripts with excessive similarity may be rejected or returned for correction.
Plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, and falsification are strictly prohibited.
Proper citation and referencing of all sources is mandatory.

6. Peer Review Process

BJCRR follows a double-blind peer review process in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous during evaluation. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, academic quality, clarity, scientific contribution, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

7. Publication Ethics

The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and research integrity. Any form of unethical behavior, including authorship disputes, plagiarism, manipulation of data, or ethical misconduct, will be investigated seriously. The editorial office reserves the right to take appropriate corrective action when necessary.

8. Post-Acceptance Process

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting and formatting before publication.
Authors may receive final proofs for approval prior to publication.
Published articles are made available through the journal’s open-access policy.

Does the manuscript follow the journal guidelines?
Have all authors approved the submission?
Have all references been properly cited?
Is the similarity index below 19%?
Has ethical approval been included where required?
