Bioscird Journal Club Reviews and Reports (BJCRR)

The Bioscird Journal Club Reviews and Reports (BJCRR) is an Open Access journal committed to the free and unrestricted dissemination of scholarly research. In alignment with this mission, authors are permitted to deposit, share, and archive their work in repositories and academic platforms at any stage of the publication process under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

1. General Reuse and Sharing Guidelines

Authors and users are permitted to share and reuse published content without embargo restrictions. However, proper attribution must always be maintained.

  • The original source (BJCRR) must be clearly acknowledged.
  • The DOI or official URL of the Version of Record must be included when sharing or archiving content.
  • Any reuse must comply with the CC BY 4.0 license requirements.

2. Repository Policy by Manuscript Stage

This policy applies to different stages of manuscript development:

2.1 Submitted Version (Preprint)

  • Authors may share preprint versions on preprint servers or institutional repositories without restriction.
  • At this stage, citation of BJCRR is encouraged but not mandatory.

2.2 Accepted Version (Post-Print)

  • Authors may deposit the peer-reviewed accepted manuscript in institutional or subject repositories.
  • The journal must be cited as the source of peer review and acceptance.
  • Full bibliographic details should be included where applicable.

2.3 Published Version (Version of Record)

  • The final published PDF may be freely archived and shared on personal websites, institutional repositories, and academic platforms.
  • Proper citation, including DOI and journal details, must always be provided.

3. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain full copyright of their work while granting BJCRR the right of first publication. All articles are published under the CC BY 4.0 license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and adaptation provided appropriate attribution is given.

Authors may also enter into separate non-exclusive agreements for secondary publication or reuse (such as book chapters or compilations), provided that the original publication in BJCRR is properly acknowledged.
